Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissue structures of the body and is effective for pain relief, relaxation, improved circulation, swelling reduction, and improvement of lymphatic drainage. Types of massage we offer include: Deep Tissue, Trigger point, Myofascial and Sports Massage and Lymphatic drainage.
Massage therapy can also foster faster healing of strained muscles and sprained ligaments, reduce muscle spasms, provide greater joint flexibility and range of motion, enhance athletic performance, and strengthen the immune system.
Types of Massage:
Foot Reflexology is massage applied to the feet where each part of the body is connected through the nervous system to specific reflex points or meridians on the feet. Reflexologists massage these points with the thumb to clear the energy pathways to the organs and to help the body heal itself by reducing stress and releasing endorphins.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage involves manipulating the deep layers of tissue in the body, including the fascia and other supporting tissues that make up the muscles and joints. Compared to other popular massage techniques – (including Swedish massage or acupressure, which tend to be lighter in pressure and may involve body movement in certain positions) - deep tissue massage is usually slower and firmer.
Your lymphatic system helps eliminate your body's waste. A healthy, active lymphatic system uses the natural movements of smooth muscle tissue to attain this.
