Acupuncturist

Dr. Susan M. Neary has joined our team of professionals here at the Integrative Wellness Center, as a licensed Cape Cod acupuncturist. She received her Master of Science in Pain Research, Education and Policy from the Tufts University School of Medicine, Education, and Policy and her Master of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from The New England School of Acupuncture. In addition, she has completed the Harvard Structural Acupuncture Program for Physicians.

Her interests lie in integrative pain management with particular emphasis on individuals with oncology, post-surgical and palliative care patients.

Her most recent graduate work is in both a multidisciplinary post graduate degree program from a biological perspective and Chinese and Japanese acupuncture studies coupled with Chinese herbal medicine.

Dr. Neary possesses a unique set of skills that bridges Eastern and Western approaches to the complex problem of pain syndrome. She facilitates healing, recovery and overall well-being for animals as well through rehabilitation, utilizing acupuncture, ten, cold laser, ultra sound, iontophoresis, hydrotherapy, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and nutrition.

She has collaborated with Purdue University and the Gerald P. Murphy Cancer Foundation on an experimental chemotherapy protocol for spontaneous appendicular osteosarcoma.

Dr. Neary is also a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine where her skills in acupuncture have been employed over a 20 year period. She Published Acupuncture for Analgesia in Veterinary Medicine on topics of Companion Animal Medicine in June 2014.
